Psalms 45:1 - My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;
I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.

No Greater Peace

As I’ve observed different people, I have noticed the lack of peace that many experience. A family member was restless, sleepless, and their spirit was troubled. They were filled with worry and anxiety. I said to the Lord, “What in the world is this?” And the Prince of Peace (Jesus) responded, “They have no peace.” I’m speaking about the promise of peace mentioned in the Holy Bible: the peace of God that surpasses and transcends all human understanding (Philippians 4:7). It is a divine, supernatural, extraordinary, indescribable, robust peace that Christ alone can provide! That sweet peace! It calms your innermost being. None can compare to His peace. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Let His perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.

Practically speaking, there are instances when a person may have a mental issue or some kind of hormonal imbalance. In these cases, wisdom is needed, and one may require medication or natural products to assist them.

I must say that I have personally experienced this Godkind of peace. Only Y’shua can give you this kind of peace. You can’t find it in any other god or in any other thing in this world! You can’t find it in a man or a woman. You can’t find it in drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or food. I thank God for this peace that has sustained me through the worst phone call a mother could ever receive. Oh, come on, Holy Spirit!!! JESUS is real!! I know this by firsthand experience. I am a witness. Nobody, I mean nobody, can make me doubt Him because I know too much about Him. I’m not talking about something I read, heard or what somebody told me. Praise Your Precious and Holy Name! Can we take a moment to worship Him??? I love the song that says, “He’ll keep you in perfect peace, just keep your mind stayed on Him.” There’s another song that says, “What a peace, what a peace, what a peace, what a peace down in my soul!!” Alleluia!

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

According to Isaiah 26:3, God promised to keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him: “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts and takes refuge in You.”

May God’s perfect and divine peace encompass every part of your being as you invite Him into your heart! In the midst of chaos, violence, grief, sickness, and trouble, JESUS will be your peace. I am a witness and testament!

Indeed, the Lord blesses His people with peace: “The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace” (Psalm 29:11, NLT).

The Hebrew word Shalom carries a rich and multifaceted meaning in biblical contexts. Here are some key aspects of Shalom in various situations:

  1. Peace and Well-being

Shalom is often translated as “peace,” but it encompasses much more than the absence of conflict. It signifies a holistic sense of well-being, harmony, and completeness. For instance, in Numbers 6:24-26, the priestly blessing invokes God’s shalom to bring strength, peace, and favor upon His people.
  2. Restoration and Reconciliation

Shalom reflects the idea of restoration and reconciliation, especially in relationships. In Isaiah 54:10, God promises that His covenant of peace will not be removed, highlighting His commitment to restoring His people despite their failings. This aspect emphasizes healing and the resolution of conflicts.
  3. Physical and Material Prosperity

Shalom also pertains to prosperity and health. In Jeremiah 29:11, God declares His plans for His people, plans for shalom and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope. This context underscores God’s desire for their overall welfare, including material and spiritual aspects.
  4. Divine Presence

The concept of shalom is intricately linked to the presence of God. In Isaiah 26:3, it is promised that those whose minds are steadfast on God will be kept in perfect peace (shalom). This suggests that true peace is found in a relationship with God, relying on His faithfulness and protection.
  5. Community and Society

Shalom extends to social relationships and community well-being. In Psalm 122:6, the psalmist calls for prayers for the peace (shalom) of Jerusalem, indicating the importance of communal harmony and security. The well-being of the community reflects the well-being of individuals within it.
  6. Eschatological Peace

In prophetic literature, shalom often points to future hope and restoration, particularly in messianic contexts. For example, in Micah 5:5, it speaks of a ruler who will bring peace (shalom) to a troubled world, foreshadowing the peace brought by the Messiah.

Summary

In summary, shalom in the Bible signifies a comprehensive state of peace that includes wholeness, well-being, and harmony in relationships—both with God and others. It encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, revealing God’s desire for humanity to experience a full and flourishing life in His presence. This multifaceted understanding of shalom invites believers to seek not just the absence of conflict but the fullness of life that comes from a relationship with God. So, with this peace from God comes everything you need to live your life to the fullest—completely whole. You receive the complete package. What an awesome and mighty God we serve! Who wouldn’t serve a God like this?
