Below you will find accounts that demonstrate God’s faithfulness, compassion, commitment and active involvement in the lives of His people throughout history, even in times of trial and difficulty. It is a reminder that we are always on His mind, and He is actively involved in our lives. They assure us that God never forgets His promises, His covenant, or His love for His children and He acts on their behalf.

- Psalm 136:23 (NIV): “He remembered us in our low estate, his love endures forever.”
- Luke 1:54-55 (NIV): “He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

- 1 Samuel 1:19 (NIV): “Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her.”
- The Israelites in Egypt: In Exodus 2:24, it is mentioned that God heard the groaning of the Israelites who were enslaved in Egypt, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. As a result, God raised up Moses to lead the Israelites out of bondage and into the Promised Land.
- Noah and the Flood: After the floodwaters subsided and Noah and his family were in the ark, Genesis 8:1 state that “God remembered Noah.” God caused the wind to pass over the earth, and the waters receded, allowing Noah and the living creatures to safely leave the ark and begin anew.
- The Birth of Isaac: In Genesis 21:1, it is recorded that “The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had promised.” God remembered His promise to Abraham and Sarah, and despite their old age, Sarah conceived and gave birth to Isaac, the promised son.
- The Israelites in Babylonian Exile: In Isaiah 44:21, the prophet Isaiah declares, “Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.” God assured His people that despite their exile and hardships, He had not forgotten them. Eventually, God fulfilled His promise and allowed the Israelites to return to their land.
- Hannah’s Prayer for a Child: In 1 Samuel 1:19, it is stated that “The LORD remembered her” when Hannah fervently prayed for a child. God answered her prayer, and she conceived and gave birth to Samuel, who became a great prophet and leader in Israel.
- God Heard the Voice of Hagar’s son, Ishmael: Genesis 21:17 says, and as she sat nearby, she lifted up her voice and wept. Then God heard the voice of the boy crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.
These examples reflect instances where God acted in response to remembrance of His people. In times of distress, oppression, or longing, God intervened, fulfilled His promises, and brought about comfort, deliverance, restoration, or answered prayers. May the God of Israel remember us and act swiftly on behalf of His people in Y’shua’s mighty name!
