Psalms 45:1 - My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;
I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.

Discernment is Crucial

Oh, my dear brothers and sisters, we are truly living in extraordinary times. These times are both exciting and dangerous. It is a remarkable privilege for those of us who know that Christ is our Messiah and Savior. However, as Y’shua Himself foretold, deception is running rampant, and it is disheartening to witness the fall away from the faith and people being ensnared with a spirit of stupor. It is indeed a sad reality.

In the midst of this, as believers, we should have a sense of excitement, knowing that our redemption draws near. I urge you to earnestly study the Word of Yahweh, so that you may show yourself approved, rightly dividing the Word of God. There are numerous false doctrines and false prophets circulating in the realm of cyberspace, and the level of deception is astonishing. It is truly alarming to witness how many are being deceived. People are investing their hard-earned money and precious time into these wolves in sheep clothing and the same fake organizations, and yet many find themselves facing the same ongoing financial challenges and struggles. Those who are not students of His Word are easily swayed by various doctrines. Therefore, I implore you, people of God, to pray for discernment.

The Holy Scriptures warn us that even the very elect will be deceived. Often, we rely on the words of others, and while some may have good intentions, God desires to reveal wondrous things and revelations in His Word to each one of us personally. If we are not anchored in His Word, we will be like the house in the parable that Jesus spoke of—when the storms and floods came, the house was demolished because it lacked a foundation in His Word. It’s no wonder so many people are falling away.

For nearly nine years, we have been diligently following a Bible reading plan, and we have encouraged others to do the same. Every year, we acquire fresh knowledge and gain new insights. If you sincerely want to know the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, it is through His Word that He reveals Himself, His true nature, character and characteristics. If you earnestly seek to understand His Word and apply its teachings in your life, He will gradually unveil a deeper knowledge of His character on a personal level. It is essential to become a student of His Word. Honestly, I don’t know where I’d be if I wasn’t anchored in Him and His Word. Hallelujah King Y’shua! The one who was, who is and who is to come!

As you develop a genuine relationship with God, grounded in His Word, you will experience a profound intimacy that goes beyond mere intellectual understanding. It is through studying His Word, prayer, and seeking His presence that you open yourself to a deeper intimacy and revelation of who He is. It will also provide you with discernment, answers and insights that will bring you supernatural understanding and wisdom. When your heart is sincere and receptive, God will meet you in your quest for knowledge and intimacy with Him. He longs to reveal Himself to those who diligently seek after Him.

Jesus Himself said that if someone comes in somebody else’s name, they will be accepted, but if they come in His name, they will be rejected. I have found this to be undeniably true. People often choose to believe lies over the truth, and these are the times we are living in. Consequently, they wonder why they are not receiving the extraordinary blessings and promises of the Most High God. These are truly the last days that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.

Always ensure the messages, instructions, and actions you are receiving align with the Word of God. Sometimes people make this journey more difficult than it needs to be, but it is as simple as following in the footsteps of Jesus. By doing this, you will find that your life becomes easier and less complicated.

Discernment is the ability to choose between what is true and right and what is false and wrong. To discern something is to recognize it’s true worth or validity. In our Christian walk, we frequently come across situations where discernment plays a crucial role. It becomes vital to have the ability to distinguish between what is good and evil. It could very well be a life-or-death situation.

In 1 Kings 3:9, Solomon, known for his wisdom, humbly asks God for an understanding heart to judge His people. Solomon recognizes that discernment is a gift from God, enabling us to make wise decisions and distinguish between what is right and wrong. We, too, can follow Solomon’s example by seeking God’s guidance and wisdom when faced with difficult choices or when we need to understand the needs of others.

Hebrews 4:12 highlights the powerful nature of God’s Word. It describes the Word as living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, capable of discerning the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. When we immerse ourselves in God’s Word, it acts as a spiritual mirror, revealing our true motives and helping us align our hearts with His will. Through regular study and meditation on Scripture, we can develop a discerning spirit that guides our actions and decisions.

I pray that God grants you keen discernment and a deep love for Him and His Word. If you become a devoted student and lover of Him and His Word, you will not go astray. May you walk in the light of His truth and experience the abundant life He has promised. May we all learn to embrace what He loves and reject what He hates!
